Character Design

As a cartoonist, I love coming up with new character designs! I have piles of sketchbooks full of them, experimenting with shapes and anatomy to figure out how to make them interesting to meet! Even when I make one cool main character, I’m always interested making up the background folks who aren’t as cool yet fill a world with life!

Tail Knight Flat Turnarounds

An illustration of a group called the Tail Knights of Caudia. They are a variety of anthropomorphic animals doing armor who wield their large, fluffy tails as shock absorbing shields and arrow storing quivers. From left to right the animals are: a small red squirrel who wields his tail as shield, a skunk who holds his tail strips as a crossbow, a fox with a sword and a tail for a shield, a raccoon with a larger tail than normal, and a tanuki with a tail quiver full of arrows.
A model sheet of four color variations of the Tail Knights of Caudia in Blackmask. Left to Right: One, A Red Fox wearing white armor and helmet, a red sash on his neck, red gloves and boots, and a light blue gambeson underneath the armor. Two, A Red Fox wearing white armor and helmet, a red sash on his neck, red gloves, white boots, and a light green gambeson underneath the armor that is a reference to the character Fox McCloud from the Star Fox Video Game Series. Three, An Arctic Fox wearing blue armor and helmet, gloves and boots, It doesn't wear a sash on his neck and gambeson underneath the armor due to thicker fur for the cold. Four, A Brown Fox with red eyes wearing black armor, helmet, gloves and boots, a dark grey sash on his neck, and a light grey gambeson underneath the armor.
