Shirley’s Mom (In car and unseen) "Bye Shirley! Have a good day at school!" Panel 2 Shirley, a brown haired teenage girl wearing a red t-shirt, exits her mother's car. Shirley "I will Mom, bye!" Panel 3 Shirley turns toward High School building anticipating her first day at a new school Shirley "Sigh. Another Day at School! I can't wait!" Panel 4 Up the stairs of the front entrance, Shirley waves good morning to her classmates who are grey and out of focus in the foreground Shirley "Hi there!" Panel 5 Shirley walks into the main hallway of the school greeting more students, once again out of focus in the far background. Shirley "Good Morning! How's it going?"
Shirley's Day Page 2: Panel 1 Shirley steps to her locker as she ponders her first class. Shirley thinks to herself "I think I have a history test don't I?" Panel 2 Prying open her pink wallpaper lined locker as she mulls over her books to bring to class. Shirley thinks to herself "I can't remember..." Panel 3 Shirley flips through the hefty textbooks in her arms making sure all is accounted for. Shirley thinks to herself "I'll take my stuff, just in case." Panel 3 Shirley glances at her blue cased smartphone to examine the time. Shirley thinks to herself "Do I have time to--" Panel 4 Shirley panics, slams her locker shut in her rush to reach class Shirley thinks to herself "--Whoop! I don't!" Panel 5 Along the school hallways, Shirley wallows through a dense crowd of students, most of their faces are obscured, off camera, out of focus.
Panel 1 and 2 Shirley makes it to her classroom; it is full of busy students still all grey and out of focus. Shirley "Barely made it! I was almost late." Panel 3 Among the crowd, Shirley sits down at her desk and gets out her books, notebook, and purse Shirley "I hope math doesn’t drag too much today." Panel 4 and 5 View of the clock as time passes from 10:34 am to 12:10am when the school bell rings SFX Riiingg! Panel 6 Shirley yawns as she walks outside classroom Shirley "Yawn. Finally! I’m starving!"
