September 2025 Sketchbook

This month was hectic from making significant progress on Blackmask, to hoping around doing day job stuff. I’ve been drawing up a storm!

Digital illustration of an anthropomorphic female raccoon with blood kn her fur wearing a bright blue beret, shoulder pads and flak jacket. She wields a large lever action shotgun which also has blood on it.

This drawing began and ended with, “Haha, wouldn’t it be funny if Jill valentine, police officer of Raccoon City, was an actual raccoon? Crazy!” The drawing ended up exploding for me on Bluesky, so I continues on a series making the rest of the S.T.A.R.S. Members.

Chris Racfield

Digital illustration of an anthropomorphic male raccoon wearing a bright green flak jacket over a white t-shirt. He wields a large pump action shotgun.

Since I drew Jill, I figured I’d draw the big boy too.

Beary Burton

Digital illustration of an anthropomorphic male bear with a beard wearing a bright red flak jacket over a white t-shirt. He wields a large magnum revolver.

Beary Burton with a really weapon. Especially against living things.

Rabbecca Chambers

Digital illustration of an anthropomorphic female rabbit with brown fur. She wears a red headband white flak jacket and green shirt and pants. She shoots a custom Beretta gun.

The newcomer who joined last month.

Albert Whisker

That’s all the S.T.A.R.S. folks, might do the Resident Evil 2 folks later

Two preliminary pencil sketch of an anthropomorphic animal characters.
First sketch is of a bear wearing a flak jacket wielding a large magnum revolver. Second sketch is of a female raccoon who wears a headband a flak jacket and shoots a custom Beretta gun.

Blackmask Storyboards

I’m making rudimentary progress storyboarding sequences for my game. I could argue it’s more elaborate than what the pixel art will be, but I’m brainstorming shot flow at the moment.

Establishing shot of a rustic ship approaching a foggy island on the sea at the fall of dusk.
A short homely little raccoon stands over the railing surveying across the ocean to the approaching land ahead. A sullen old jackal takes a drag of her pipe as she hobbles next to him with her cane and prosthetic leg, and views the island with her last good eye.
Storyboard panel of an incredulous anthropomorphic female jackal looking down off camera.
Storyboard panel of an anthropomorphic female jackal turning her back to walk away in the background.
At the rise of the moon, Cole the raccoon and his variety of hired animal mercenaries of ill repute, row their small boat into the mysterious island of the Chimera.
Cole lands on the beach with his Mercenary crew of protectors.
Digital sketch of an anthropomorphic male raccoon overlooking the entrance of a desolate ruin surrounded by massive statues of what appear to be owl headed warriors.
After a disagreement, Cole the raccoon is surrounded and betrayed by the tanuki, fox and weasel pirates he brought to find treasure on the island for. Crushing the trees behind the group, a massive bear wearing an executioner’s mask looms over party, tilting his crudely carved wooden club at Cole as the tanuki laughs haughtily.

Nad and the Boys

Me and the boys about to plunder some gold.

Digital sketches of five anthropomorphic animal characters with goofy yet sinister expressions, Left to right: Large bear wearing an executioners mask, fox wearing a coif, tanuki with one missing tooth, fox wearing a stripped head band, weasel wearing a face bandana.

Ruins

Pen and ink drawing of an anthropomorphic raccoon wearing a large hooded coat carrying two large swords with rope on their back. The small raccoon walks beside a massive and demolished marble armless bust of an anthropomorphic female lizard with rusted broken nipple chains. The statue is covered with grass, leaves, and ivy from years long abandonment.

Older world building sketches.

Body studies

Digital sketch of two anthropomorphic brown cow characters with similar but different body types, left cow is fatter and the right cow is muscular.

Fumbling around with making similar but different body types for my own studies. Most of it is me going off of a similar “square” body shape and using details to indicate how muscular or fat the character looks.

Gel pen sketch of two anthropomorphic cow characters with similar but different body types, left cow is fatter and the right cow is muscular.
pencil sketches of two anthropomorphic female bear characters with similar but different body types, left bear is fatter and the right bear is muscular.

Ass Goblin

Digital illustration of the back view of a short nude female goblin in a rocky desert.

Ass Goblin painted in Procreate during a lunch break to test out the new brush features.A sort of sequel to my gouache painting I made a while ago.

Gamble Rabbit

Digital illustration of an anthropomorphic female rabbit with spotted fur wearing a black dress and fur boa. She flips a deck of cards for gambling.

Fast commission for a coworker during a lunch break.

Sheep Sketch

Digital illustration of an anthropomorphic sheep over an indigo background holding a paper cup of coffee.

A drawing I sketched from a post on Bluesky and I was messing around.

Older Fan Art

Marker illustration of the video game character Sly Cooper, an anthropomorphic male raccoon in a blue jacket holding a long yellow cane. He stands at the side of a building where a spotlight shines to pursue him.

A old fan drawing i made a long time ago. I’ve yet to play Sly Cooper myself. I was more of a Ratchet and Clank guy when i played the first games with my cousins.

Marker Illustration of Pocky the shrine maiden and Rocky the tanuki from the titular Super Nintendo Video Game

Another Pocky and Rocky fan art I made w while ago. Everyone should try it out at least once!

Misc Sketches

Three pencil sketches of anthropomorphic female house cats wearing various outfits: left cat wears a t-shirt over a stripped long sleeve shirt with a checkered shirt a black boots; middle cat wears a ponytail with a bow and a collared shirt with pleated skirt and holding an umbrella; right car has a bob cut with a collared short sleeve long dress with pockets.

Cat sketches inspired by vintage fashion mags.

Pencil sketch of an anthropomorphic cat statue standing on a pedestal, adorned with necklaces, arm rings, nose rings and various other accessories inspired by Hindu sculpture.

One day, I’ll take a weekend or two to learn how to sculpt in Blender and make one of these statues I keep sketching.

Multiple pencil sketches of an anthropomorphic female dobermann dog wearing a crop top and short shorts with various alterations of clothing styles and ear styles. Written text "Perri, An inbetween college student who frequents the mall to say hello to strangers! Why? Bored due to her lack of intrest in physical therapy. Her parents made her go to college for some (opportunities)" Middle sketche on the left is her eating from the bread sample dish of a small cat wearing a bread costume. Middle sketch on the right is of her annoying a brooding male raccoon wearing a black coat and dark jewelry in gothic inspired fashion. Dog says, "Hi! Who does your make up?" Bottom sketches show her in various poses showcasing turnaround views.

Perri the Puppo. A bubbly airhead, who hangs around at her local mall bothering the patrons and workers to procrastinate on her college studies. I’ve been doodling this character idea of a doberman character and figuring out what to write about her.

Pencil sketch of a scene of an army of anthropomorphic rabbits wearing armor and tunics fighting against and army of foxes in armor. The action focuses on a rabbit flying kicking against a fox who defends from the attack by cushioning the blow in their thick fluffy tail.

Sketch of an action scene of Rabbit and Fox Armies fighting with their general skills.

Art before and after Covid-19

I started making pixel art as a game jam project a few months before the lock downs got announced. I’d say I’m learning more. The tanks game I used a Commodore 64 palette I used from Lospec.

Art at beginning of Covid-19 Pandemic
Tank Game Jam pixel sprites depicting various small vehicles: tan tank, red ball drone, tower, green tank destroyer.
Verses now, after of Covid-19 Pandemic
pixel animation of an yellow and brown striped anthropomorphic male dragon with brown spots in his wings and a scorpion-like stinger at the end of his tail. He wears full steel armor, a green scarf, an indigo rope belt at his waist, and yellow thorns wrapped around the horns of his helmet. The dragon stands at the ready with his long spear in hand.

Conclusion

It’s been a slower drawing week as I’m putting more hours at my day job to bring up my funds. I’ll admit this is the reason I’ve been radio silent online and my streaming schedule has slipped. But, it’s not extreme, I’m just deciding my priorities for the day. If you want to help out, you can drop a small donation to my Ko-Fi page, or buy a sticker from my store. I’m also open for animation commissions as well so if you’re looking for some cool pixel art, I’m happy to help!
