March 2026 Sketchbook

Monochrome green pixel animation of an anthropomorphic male raccoon standing on a tree branch with his coat blowing in the wind to confront a figure across the treetops behind the trunk, ready to fire his bow. The raccoon calls out to the figure, "Show yourself coward!"

It’s been a packed month for me. I’m jumping around working on game dev, a regular job, commissions and fumbling with writing. Often, I feel overwhelmed, but I’m sure it’s just me finally aging to the ripe age of 34. Even with all this, March looks to be the start of the larger year of art creation for me.

August 2025 Sketchbook

Nearing the end of summer but not the end of my sketching! I’m fiddling about with new coloring techniques and progress on pixel animation!

Illustration of a lean and muscular anthropomorphic male lion wearing skimpy green barbarian underpants, a small red bag, and a short sword on his person. " Whoa! Hold On!" He stammers, "Just because I'm dressed like this, does NOT make me a warrior!"

Cowardly Lion Warrior I scanned and colored from my sketchbooks. I’ve been tweaking my Copic Marker Digital Brushes to push into more trad-looking artwork. I still use modern convinces like, Clipping Layers and Lasso tools, but I’m pushing myself to hate drawing on the computer less as I go.

June 2025 Sketchbook

It’s the start of summer, so I’m running around with more free time than I’ve had showing art I made this month.

Pen and marker sketch of an anthropomorphic male raccoon flying in the air with his large green jacket open, revealing a hidden arsenal of swords within.

I drew this Cole sketch on the cover of my Moleskine sketchbooks. I don’t like that I wasted a good sketch on a cardboard cover, but I’ll post it anyway and deal with it.

April Sketchbook 2025

This month is a mix of new and old art where I showcase all the drawing I’ve done over the spring month of April.

Observational pen sketch at a Five Guys Burgers and Fries restaurant depicting two soda despenser machines, the extra napkins station and trlhe lamp lighting the section.

In the tiny efforts to improve my background drawing, I drew the soda machines while waiting for my order at Five Guys
