Blind Spot Illustration Process

Enemies patrol along a certain route, scanning the area for anything unusual or out of place. Many are well armed, well numbered, and physically difficult to overcome for a single, smaller intruder.

Digital illustration of a small anthropomorphic raccoon wearing a long blue coat and brown pants, tiptoeing under the legs of large, brown maned anthropomorphic female lion in revealing red plate armor that barely covers her large chest patrolling near a brick wall, holding a large spear and shield. The lion seems oblivious to the raccoon underneath her carefully saying under the shadow of her large breasts. A small game UI style message reads: "Undetected"

Lucky for Cole, some guards have certain…blind spots.

My Time at Chicago Indie Games Showcase 2025

Over the weekend, I went to the Chicago Indie Game Showcase and played a fine collection of upcoming games developed in Chicago, Illinois!

Room of guests at the Chicago Indie Game Showcase at Harpin Arts in Logan Square in Chicago, Illinois.

The show is run by Indie City Games, a local Chicago scene of indie game developers. I applied for a table in the summer to show off a playable build of Blackmask, but it’s for the best as there were killer games out on the floor that Saturday!

Dragon Knight Sinai Sprite Process

In the past four weeks, I created this large fighting game sprite commission! Despite it’s length, the turnaround was faster than my previous commissions taking me more than a month on an off with streams on my Twitch Channel. I’ll go through the process creating it all from the start.

He wears full steel armor, a green scarf, an indigo rope belt at his waist, and yellow thorns wrapped around the horns of his helmet. The dragon stands at the ready with his long spear in hand.

What I’ve Been Up To Since Spring

Halfway through the year, I’m dropping off an update of life stuff I’ve been up to and talk about future plans for art projects.

I’ve been in deep focus on working on my big personal projects, minimizing convention activity, and improving my body in an effort to make this year more fulfilling.

2024:A Year In Review

It’s February of 2025 and it’s high time I talk about my accomplishments and disappointments of 2024! Because I certainly didn’t dally writing this post over last December and January to cut out the negativity weighing down this post. No siree!

As usual, I drew plenty of art, tackled new projects and went to lots of art shows. Yet, I know I can do more of this coming year!

A Review of Tiny Sketchbooks

If you’re interested in drawing more, but don’t know where to start, I recommend keeping a small sketchbook close to you! When I’m at my day job and away from my drawing desk, having a small sketchbook helps me jot down ideas I get.

Mini Sketchbook Pile B

A while ago, I dropped a short blog post about ways you can get in drawing practice. In it, I discus sketchbooks that I’ve used before, so I’m elaborating more on cool sketchbooks to draw in.

CAKE Chicago 2024 this Saturday!

On Saturday, August 24th, I’m invited to exhibit my comics at the 2024 Chicago Alternative Comics Expo at their First Slice table!

The First Slice is an opportunity to highlight for creators, like me, who are new to CAKE and show off their comics.

I’m debuting my new art book zines, The Black Cat Sketchbook and The Good Dog Sketchbook! I’ll be table sharing with a second newbie artist so come and see me and other local artists there!

Some of my book is art I’ve posted, and others I haven’t, so if you have a weekend free come stop by the Zhou B Art Center!
